*obviously, makulay ang buhay ng isang ICTM professional. madaming jobs, madaming cash! LOL, kidding. ;)

Here are the required technical and non-technical skills for these jobs, as well as the responsibilities.

Based on what I observed, most of the jobs being offered today require their applicants to have excellent skills in VisualBasic, Java, .NET and SQL. Also, skills in C, C++ and C# will be an advantage when applying for a job. That means, I would have to learn more programming languages besides Java in the years to come. oh, may God bless me. :))

As for the non-technical skills, people who have good communication skills (both written and oral) is what the majority of the companies are looking for. Next to that are the interpersonal and analytical skills of the person; and being well-organized, creative and hardworking follows.

So as for me, I would need to develop my communication and interpersonal skills during my college days. I guess I should be more sociable and friendly in order to hone my skills in these areas. :)

and finally, here are the responsibilities of an ICTM professional. Based on my findings and also on Sir Oli's lecture, Application development is what most ICTM professionals do. CS, CE, and ECE professionals make the units work, and IT professionals develop and maintain the applications in it. Not bad. haha! :) So people, this is what we do in ICTM! :p
